Questionnaire Results

I asked this question to see if there would be any correlation between the age of the students and their answers. Out of 20 people, the majority of students I asked were 16 year olds (12) and the rest were 17 year olds (8). There were no 18 or 19 year old students around at the time when I took the research.

I asked this question to see if there would be any correlation between the gender and the answers of the students. This could help me in making a decision on the lay-out of the college magazine, the style and the content. For example, boys could agree on one style and the girls could agree on another. Out of 20 people, the majority of students I asked were Female (12) and the rest were Male (8). This may perhaps mean my magazine will have a feminine outcome.

I asked this question to see if students would actually like to have a college magazine around. This is important as through this, I would gain information that will help me to know if the students found college magazines as an essential part of their college life. Out of 20 people, the majority do want a college magazine (12); the rest either said No (3) or Maybe (5).

I asked this question to help me decide on the price of the college magazines. if students strongly agreed or disagreed that college magazines should be free.  I asked them to choose on a scale of 1-5. 1 meaning they strongly disagreed and 5 meaning the opposite. (4) Students chose 1 and (10) students chose 5 suggesting that the majority strongly believe that college magazines should be free.

I asked this question to know what most students would prefer the theme of a college magazine to be; either educational or entertaining. Out of 20 students, most chose entertaining (15) and the rest said educational (5). I found this surprising as I thought all the students I asked would want a college magazine to be more entertaining. However, I’ve made a decision to make the magazine a mix of both.

I wanted to know if students liked a college magazine to be with or without colour. All the students I asked said liked the idea of a coloured magazine.
This question was the longest question in my questionnaire as it had a variety of subjects for the students to pick out from; subjects 1-12. I asked this question to know what subjects the students would like to see in a college magazine. This would help me know what topics the magazine I make would consist of. Topic 3 seems to be the most popular topic amongst the students; its Music. This shows that teenagers do classify music to be an important part of a college magazine.

I asked this question to know if students would like to contribute in the creation of the magazine. Out of 20 students, the majority said No (14) and the rest said Yes (6).

This question was asked to see if the students would like advice on job opportunities in a college magazine. All the students I asked said Yes.
I asked this question to know what the students would like their magazine to consist of; Images, Text or a Mix. The majority out of all the students I asked preferred a Mix (19) and only 1 student preferred the magazine to consist of only Text.

I wanted to know whether students would like a college magazine to consist of information about the entertainment that occurs in college. Out of 20 students, 18 said Yes and the rest said No (2).
